More than 150 dogs and humans turned up at Coronet Peak in New Zealand on Saturday to compete in the resort’s 47th annual Meadow Fresh Dog Derby.
Participants first took part in a safety briefing after registration before dogs and their human companions loaded the Coronet Express Gondolas to make the ascent to the top of the slopes.
A Kids Race back down the slopes was followed by the Country then Town Races at 15-minute intervals, followed by a prize giving back down at the base.
The afternoon was rounded off by a tuneful barking competition.
