Courmayeur Mont Blanc will host the 8th Mountain Gourmet Ski Experience from 16th to 19th March 2023.
Created by chef Heston Blumenthal and Momentum Ski’s Amin Momen, this foodie event has a renowned and well-deserved reputation for attracting outstanding chefs to the famous Italian ski resort of Courmayeur.
2023 will be no exception and will celebrate the return of the highly anticipated ski season in style – playing host to Canadian chef Jonny Lake, previously executive head chef of the 3* Michelin restaurant The Fat Duck and now the chef and co-owner of Michelin starred Trivet, an exceptional restaurant in London. Jean-Philippe Blondet, 3* Michelin Executive Chef at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester will also be headlining. Both chefs will be joined by co-owner of Trivet Isa Bal, one of the world’s leading sommeliers and winner of the Michelin Sommelier award for 2022. With one chef creating dishes inspired by upscale French classic cuisine, and the other showing a passion for international favourites, guests will experience the finest in Michelin-starred cooking.
Courmayeur is situated on the Italian side of Mont Blanc and is a traditional yet sophisticated resort full of history and charm and surrounded by spectacular scenery. The centre of the village is car-free with shops, restaurants and bars, as well as a wide choice of accommodation for all budgets and a thriving après-ski scene.
Working with local chefs, the Michelin starred line up will create an incredible offering for the Gourmet Ski Experience. A unique addition to Courmayeur’s annual culinary month of Peak of Taste, the two come together to offer guests a refined taste of the Aosta Valley.
The itinerary of Gourmet Ski will include meet and greets with the chefs, skiing and lunch experiences on the mountains and dinner by candlelight right on the slopes.
There’s a flexible programme with the weekend offering guests the chance to curate their perfect experience, with all dinners available to book separately, plus accommodation, flights and transfers as potential add-ons to suit different budgets.
