Third Medal at World Championships

The British freestyle ski and snowboard team have taken another medal at the Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski World Championships currently taking place in Bakuriani, Georgia.

Zoe Atkin has taken silver in the FIS Freestyle Halfpipe World Championships.

Atkin’s silver is the third for the British team following Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingdale taking gold medal in the Team Snowboard Cross competition and Mia Brookes becoming the youngest world champion in snowboarding history at the age of 16 earlier this week taking slopestyle gold after ¬†landing the first Cab 1440 double grab in a women’s event.

The medal is the latest in a run of top form for Atkin who took gold in the superpipe at the X Games in January.
